The Very Best of Asia: Heat of the Moment (1982-1990)

Just so the world knows, I *am* going to play professional Baseball, and even though only three people I know actually believe in me (and that includes the given father and coach), that doesn't change anything. So to all you "friends" out there, even though most of you don't even know I have a blog, I am going to succeed, I will do it, despite all the crud I get from people who don't believe me, and I wish people I've known since I was two bloody years old would get a CLUE!

So there you have it. Those of you (and you know who you are) who have always supported me (even if you haven't known me very long), thank you. For those of you who have done nothing but doubted that I could do it, made my life hard for me and, in the words of a very wonderful person, "smashed my dreams in my face like a banana cream pie": I'm over all the crud you give me. So if you don't want to support me, the get the heck out of my way, because I'm not going to stop for anybody.

Hmm...I wonder if anyone ever even bothers to check my blog anymore to see if I've finally managed to quit procrastinating and post. Well, if you have, suffice it to say, you're probly  dissapointed. It's ten thirty, I just got home from Marching Band, and I'm tired, so goodnight!

P.S. Life is good: A Cappella performance tomorrow, no school, Field Show Comp on Saturday, Happiness, lost my gloves gonna borrow Troy's for Saturday, and...yeah. I'm pretty satisfied.

Yeaya! TQB!

Saturday, August 26, 2006

Well, school has officially begun. It's actually been a lot more interesting, and I believe it will prove to be more enjoyable, simply because a) I'm in marching band, b) I'm a sophmore and ergo have more interesting classes (World History AP) and c) I've already been through a year of public school and so I sort of know what I'm doing.

Marching band is tons of fun. I still don't understand how I'm going to be able to march the show and play at the same time....especially since I'm playing Mellophone and I don't even HAVE a mellophone yet, so I havn't gotten to practice with it yet...at least it has the same fingerings as trumpet.

Band is gonna rock...if we can practice Horn enough...the first day just sucked. None of the Horns were able to do *anything*. We're playing a lot of hard pieces this year because we're going to Carnegie Hall, and Mr. Wagner is actually writing a piece for us to play there. But yesterday was better. We played a somewhat simple version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and we did quite well on that.

Anyway, I'm sitting here at George's house...it's the morning after our dress rehearsal (I spent the night) and he's still asleep, so I'm...chilling. It's kinda hard to believe the play's tonight, and that it's all going to be over soon. Ah well, such is life. I'll post pictures if I get them, and if I figure out how to *G*
